Seizure of Ice at Wattay International Airport

                On 24 May 2019, AAITF-Lao PDR by Lao Immigration Officers at Wattay International Airport attested Mrs. Carlos Lovely Marian Zamdra, a Philippine National, aged 34 years old, with 5 kilogrammes of Ice hidden in her luggage. She was going to Manila using the route Vientiane-Bangkok-Manila. She would connect the flight to Manila at Suvarnabhumi Airport, Bangkok.

The ASEAN Narcotics Cooperation Centre (ASEAN-NARCO) was officially launched in Bangkok this week to further drive regional efforts in pursuing ASEAN Drug Free 2015. To act as a coordinating platform for ASEAN Member States in working together on drug related cases, ASEAN NARCO is now focusing on drug law enforcement and expected to cover other areas of drug control in the future.
