African woman arrested at Suvarnabhumi Airport with 83 pellets of drug concealed in her stomach
On 11 September 2019, AAITF Thailand comprising of the ONCB Narcotics Law Enforcement Unit, Royal Thai Customs, Narcotics Suppression Bureau arrested Ms.Susan Anyango Odhoch, a 28-year-old Kenyan woman, at Suvarnabhumi Internation Airport.
Ms. Susan Anyango Odhoch was arrested for allegedly trying to smuggle more than 80 pellets of cocaine in her stomach. She boarded the flight to Bangkok from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to Bangkok before heading to Phuket as final destination.
The AAITF Task Force became suspicious while she was going to pass the customs check point at Gate C, then, invited her for the interrogation and made the search but no illegal things were found in her luggage. After the interrogation, the authority found her to be suspicious then did the body X-ray. After the body X-raying, drugs were found in her stomach totalling 83 pellets of cocaine. Ms.Odhoch admitted that she had been hired by a Nigirian guy named Innocent who resides in Thailand via a Kenyan female in the amount of USD 1,000 to swallow drug, the 83 pellets of cocaine and travel to Thailand, This was her first time of committing a drug offence. However, she did not give any cooperation in giving more detail for further investigation and expansion the case. The AAITF Team then made the record of arrest and sent her to the interrogation officer of Narcotics Suppression Bureau for further legal procedure.
