30,465 tablets of ecstasy seized by AAITF Thailand Team

              On 19 March 2020, Thai Postal Customs and AAITF Thailand Team arrested a Thai suspect with 30,465 tablets of ecstasy concealed in the parcel of sweet treat boxes.Thai Postal Customs officers inspected an air mail parcel sent from Germany to a receiver at a condominium in Bangkok and found about 30,465 tablets of ecstasy concealed in the parcel of sweet treat boxes. After expanding the investigation, the AAITF Thailand Team arrested a Thai man suspect at a condominium in Pradipat area. He was suspected to be in connection with the narcotics syndicate located in Tachileik, Myanmar.

To act as a coordinating platform for ASEAN Member States in working together on drug related cases, ASEAN NARCO is now focusing on drug law enforcement and expected to cover other areas of drug control in the future.
