Mr. Vitthawan Sunthornkajit, Deputy Secretary-General, NCB, was the guest of honour to preside over the openting ceremony of “Basic Training on Precursors and Chemicals Testing and Interdiction for Narcotics Law Enforcement Officers”

                  On 7th March 2016, Mr. Vitthawan Sunthornkajit, Deputy Secretary-General, NCB, was the guest of honour to preside over the openting ceremony of “Basic Training on Precursors and Chemicals Testing and Interdiction for Narcotics Law Enforcement Officers” hosted by the Narcotics Analysis and Technical Service Institute, ONCB, at the Centara Convention Center Udonthani during 6-9 March 2016. The participants consisted of 29 officers from Lao PDR and 80 officers from Thailand. The training program was held in order to improve potentials of officers on narcotics, precursors, chemical substances and drug trafficking interdiction law enforcement. Also, participants would be provided precursors and chemical substances analysis sets for using on narcotics analysis.

ASEAN-NARCO

The ASEAN Narcotics Cooperation Centre (ASEAN-NARCO) was officially launched in Bangkok this week to further drive regional efforts in pursuing ASEAN Drug Free 2015. To act as a coordinating platform for ASEAN Member States in working together on drug related cases, ASEAN NARCO is now focusing on drug law enforcement and expected to cover other areas of drug control in the future.
