Minister of Justice Leads Destruction of 26.41-Ton Narcotics Haul, Reaffirming Government's Policy of Strict Suppression and Declaring "War on Drug Traffickers"

SAMUT PRAKAN, October 29, 2025 – Police Lieutenant General Rutthapol Naovarat, the Minister of Justice, presided over the 11th ceremony for the destruction of seized narcotics (the first for the fiscal year 2026) at Akkhie Prakarn Public Company Limited, located in the Bang Pu Industrial Estate, Samut Prakan Province.

The event was attended by Police Major General Suriya Singhakamol, Secretary-General of Narcotics Control Board, along with Mr. Sirisuk Yuenhan and Ms. Areepak Ngunbamrung, Deputy Secretaries-General of the ONCB; Police Major General Pornpitak Ruyuenyong, Deputy Commissioner of Provincial Police Region 1; Mr. Siam Sirimongkol, Governor of Samut Prakan Province; and a working group of representatives from partner agencies. These included the Commander of the Samut Prakan Provincial Police, the Samut Prakan Provincial Industry Office, and the Bang Pu Industrial Estate, who served as witnesses to affirm the transparency of the destruction of narcotics from 81 cases, with a gross weight (including packaging) of over 26.41 tons.





This narcotics destruction event reiterates the government's strong commitment to tackling the drug problem seriously and decisively. The seized narcotics had a net weight of 22.21 tons, comprising:
* 138 million of Yaba (12,737.54 kg)
* 5,157.23 kg of crystal methamphetamine (Ice)
* 1,133.89 kg of heroin
* 601.08 kg of ketamine
* Over 2,583.79 kg of other narcotics.
